The Washington Post reports this week that President-elect Barack Obama's transition team is already targeting the pro-life Mexico City Policy for repeal in the early days of his administration.

The transition team is in close contact with Planned Parenthood, said the organization's president, Cecile Richards.  She told the Post:  "We have been communicating with his transition staff” almost daily, Richards said. “We expect to see a real change."

More change to come includes a repeal of President George W. Bush's pro-life policy restricting the use of taxpayer funds for embryonic stem cell research that destroys human life.  Obama is expected to lift the restriction and expand taxpayer-funded research that relies upon the death of human embryos.
