Barack Obama no doubt irritated the pro-abortion crowd last weekend when he tried to moderate his radical support for partial-birth abortion.
Obama commented that "emotional distress" is too vague of an excuse to allow partial-birth abortion. Furthermore, his campaign actually used the term "partial-birth abortion," which abortion rights zealots have decried as "unscientific" and "politically-charged."
This will definitely disappoint the NARAL and Planned Parenthood Crowd.
The Swamp has the deets, and Ramesh Ponnuru at NRO offers a more detailed analysis and reaction.

For someone who votes in favor of infanticide (a la voting against the Illinois Born Alive Infant Protection Act), changing his tune now is a bit weak. Is he becoming the puppet of the Democrat party after all? I thought Obama was a fresh breeze that flew in the face of conventional politics. Ha. Hopefully the American people will catch on too, preferably before November 2008.
