Radical Pro-Abortion nominee Dawn Johnsen is set to come to a Senate floor vote any day now. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved Johnsen by a vote of 11-7 (largely on party lines) on March 19^th.

Johnsen is a former legal counsel for NARAL and her writings provide a shocking insight into her bizarre view of pregnancy and abortion. This is the woman who likened unplanned pregnancies to slavery. Johnsen also characterized women who became pregnant as the "inevitable losers in the contraceptive lottery." Johnsen clearly does not represent commonsense pro-life Americans. The majority of Americans agree on common-sense restrictions on abortion, like protection for taxpayers who do not want to fund the killing of unborn life. But not Dawn Johnsen. Her radical support for abortion-on-demand leaves her on the fringes of the political spectrum.

Furthermore, her blind support for the abortion industry leaves little doubt that she is unable impartially carry out the duties of the Office of Legal Counsel. A blind Lady Justice? Not with Dawn Johnsen around.  How can we expect her to defend existing policies like the federal ban on partial-birth abortion, when she has likened them to slavery?

The Obama administration promised us common ground abortion policies, but the nomination of Dawn Johnsen is anything but!
