I came across this interesting post on U.S. News and World Report.  The author discusses the dragging feet of the Obama administration to lift or relax Bush's embryonic stem cell policy (commonly and incorrectly called the "ban".).  She explains that because of recent discoveries -- most notably the story of an Israeli boy developing brain and spinal tumors from embryonic stem cell treatment -- Obama is rightly using caution regarding embryonic stem cell policy.

It is exciting to see the main stream media paying attention to an idea such as this.  The author discusses other types of stem cells including adult and iPS cells. She does not necessarily believe in the inherent worth of every human being because she does advocate for embryonic stem cell research, thus the destruction of nascent human life.  However, that makes this post hold even more water because she admits other types of stem cell research are proving superior.

A small drop in the bucket is still a drop in the bucket!
