Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) announced yesterday that she has been appointed to serve on the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s Advisory Board.

“I am honored to be invited to serve on this bipartisan board and be part of their wonderful mission to promote adoption,” said Bachmann. The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization formed in 2001 to advocate for the world’s orphaned and foster youth.  Its goal is to educate federal policymakers and coordinate efforts to bring about change and facilitate opportunities for communication and awareness.

A former foster mother to 23 children, Rep. Bachmann will be able to use her firsthand experiences and personal knowledge to assist children in need.  Bachmann continues, “I look forward to this opportunity to combine my experience as a foster parent and my position as a lawmaker to ensure that these children find safe and loving homes.”

Also a member of the Pro-life Women’s Caucus, Rep. Michele Bachmann is a leader in her dedication for life, both born and unborn.
