Yet another case of pro-abortion violence on which the mainstream media has been utterly silent.
Last week, outside of City Hall in Flagstaff, Arizona, 69-year-old Johnny Wallace was attacked by two women while he was holding up pro-life signs.
Wallace was described by LifeNews as being a well-known and visible member of the community. He faithfully stood in the same spot in front of the city hall daily to serve as a reminder of the injustice of abortion. Wallace’s signs were described as “non-graphic,” in fact, Wallace had two simple messages: “Abortion kills more black Americans in four days than the Klan killed in 150 years,” and “Life begins at conception and ends at Planned Parenthood.”
The two women who attacked Wallace were both 48-years-old. According to LifeNews, they approached Wallace while yelling obscenities and the second woman joined in the beating after the first woman tried to wrestle the signs away from Wallace—making him fall to the ground. The two women were charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage. Mr. Wallace was treated for minor injuries, although he did suffer an injury to his elbow that has required additional treatment.
Of the attack, Troy Newman of Operation Rescue has this to say:
"Recently there has been an increasing attitude that it is okay to hurt pro-life people if one does not agree with them. This disturbing trend must stop. We are thankful that Mr. Wallace was not hurt worse than he was, and pray that the violence against pro-life activists will come to an end.”
This attack, along with the murder of James Poullion earlier this month and the attempted hit and run on a pro-life protester in California this summer, is evidence of a very worrying violent trend in the pro-abortion movement. A simple glance at a “feminist” pro-abortion blog yielded comments like this one: “I see some anti-choice protesters outside of the Ft. Collins CO planned parenthood and its all I can do to keep from stopping the car, getting out and bashing them in with a baseball bat. Its always old geezers too.”
This outrageous violent attitude toward elderly pro-lifers just further demonstrates the hostility the other side not only has for the Life of the unborn child, but also the Life of those already born and their fundamental freedoms, like first amendment rights!
