One thing that needs to be talked about in the stem cell debate is this: the promising research developments for stem cell therapies that *do not* involve embryo destruction. So, if anyone reading this is pregnant, especially (but not exclusively) if you are a person of color (grievously underrepresented in medical research and treatment in the areas of tissue and organ donation)...please consider donation the umbilical cord blood. It may either save a life through transplant, or save lives through nonviolent stem cell research.
