This nurse was forced to do something that she would not have done unless her job was not on the line. That's the very definition of coercion: "The intimidation of a victim to compel the individual to do some act against his or her will by the use of psychological pressure, physical force, or threats." What is your definition of being "forced" to do something? If someone holds a gun to your head, don't you still have choices even then? Horrible choices, but choices nonetheless. The point is if you are given the choice of losing your job or performing a procedure, that's coercion and hardly a choice at all. ADF is right to take legal action against the hospital.
